Should Mein kampf be taught in British schools?

If schools teach children about Islam, communism and other isms that have launched wars, what would be so wrong with schools learning a text written by one of Europes most famous conqueror.

Tis a rather warm day. I had a glorious walk through the moors this morning. Later in the day I shall be having luncheon in a Elizabeth era tavern, a lovely sirloin i believe is their speciality. Red wine too. I believe they do rather good Argentinian wines, although I find European Spanish are more supreme.

Fascism is taught in schools. Mein Kampf should only be taught if you're looking to (massively) bore the heck out of your students.

You don't walk 'through' the moors, dear, you walk 'over' or 'across.' You walk 'through' woodland.

And no, school children shouldn't have to read 'Mein Kampf' unless they've been very very naughty

I learned of the book in school. I was taught it to be Antisemitic. From that day forward, I had an option to read the book. Eventually I learned how racist, bigoted, Antisemitic, scattered etc. the book is.

As it relates to literature rankings, it's a massive failure by the way it's largely a rant ... a random collection of thoughts that would please right wing extremism (it's the epitome of propaganda). It's an example how NOT to write any book.

"The Jew has always been a people with definite racial characteristics and never a religion."

    -Adolf Hitler (Mein Kampf)

"...the personification of the devil as the symbol of all evil assumes the living shape of the Jew."

    -Adolf Hitler (Mein Kampf)

"But even more: all at once the Jew also becomes liberal and begins to rave about the necessary progress of mankind."

    -Adolf Hitler (Mein Kampf)

Most righties won't even admit Hitler was on their team ... lol.

It would be out dated and inappropriate, you might try reading it before you assume that there is anything of modern value in it. It was not written by a Nazi Hitler became, it was written by a socialists he was a a disillusioned young man.
