Why aren't there any radio stations playing 40's music?

I think some do but I think you will have an easier time web searching for "Standards" rather then "40's music" to see if any near you play those songs.
I agree more a XM or internet radio thing than currently popular enough for a broadcast station.

I'm looking for 50s and 60s stuff, myself.

I have wondered the same thing. In the USA everything needs to turn a profit, especially the airways and news medias.

Try listening to the AM band. There are a couple of AM stations in my area that play music that old.

Ha Ha! I'm almost 26 but I just want to listen to music to take me back to a simpler time when people use to watch over each other rather than focusing on themselves, believed in the value of hard work, etc. I wish America were still like that (but with technology, of course).
