Can I replace baking powder with baking soda for cupcakes?

    Kind of. You would also need an acid to activate the soda. Try a teaspoon of lemon juice or a half of apple cider vinegar.

    Baking powder is a combination of baking soda and cream of tarter, a dry acid.
