MOST big cities in the USA have at least one local truck driving school. It really doesn't make any difference where you go, because they all teach the same thing... How to pass the State's Commercial Drivers License tests so you can get a license to drive truck. The average time to earn a CDL is 5-6 weeks of full-time (40 hours per week) school.
Once you HAVE the license you can shop around to the various regional or national trucking companies to find one that offers the conditions you want. Licensed commercial drivers are in high demand these days, so it shouldn't be hard to find a job.
A couple of things to consider if you want to drive truck... First, you MUST be at least 21 years old to drive a commercial vehicle outside the state where your license was issued. Second... Even though marijuana and other "recreational" drugs have been legalized in several states, you will STILL be subject to drug testing before you are hired, and at random intervals for as long as you drive a commercial vehicle. ANY positive test for marijuana or other drugs is grounds for immediate dismissal.
Good luck with that!
