    For philosophy: "The Slightest Philosophy" by Quee Nelson;

    for self-understanding: "Understanding Yourself" by Mark Prophet;

    for relationship: "For Couples Only" by Shaunti Feldhahn;

    for insight into political events as fiction: Brad Thor, such as "Code of Conduct;"

    12 rules for life Jordan Peterson, though I haven't read it I like his other essays and his general views. I think self help books are bogus. better to focus on expanding your knowledge of basic western history, philosophy, economics and politicks and literature to feel more confident in your intellect and have a classical western education. in those specific areas I would start with Herodotus, Kant, Hayek, and Virgil respectively
