    hate crime

    noun

a crime, typically one involving violence, that is motivated by prejudice on the basis of race, religion, sexual orientation, or other grounds.

I'm not going to split hairs w/ semantics. Whatever you want to believe is your opinion.

No. But it has FUELED enough anger in some people to kill. Feelings don't actually MAKE a person do something.

UPDATE: After reading all of your answers I have come to the conclusion that you people are incredibly stupid. "But my FEELINGS made me do it!" If racism KILLS [as almost all of you declare as FACT] then ALL RACISTS WOULD KILL. But they don't. So maybe... it's something else. Wrap your little pea brains around that idea.
