Native English speakers, could you please help me with these issues?

Does this sentence make sense:

"I once did something similar ON THE SAME GROUNDS."

(By 'on the same grounds', I mean for the same reasons.)

    Yes, you could say that. The '...grounds...' is slightly less common, but just as good as the '...reasons...' phrasing.
