Is it ok for women to be people watchers and not men, and how do they hide their watching of people?

People watching is a skill that you develop when you immerse yourself in social settings. I’m a male and I people watch in almost every way. When I go to the mall, I observe people’s shopping and dining behaviors. If people are having conversations that I can hear, I discreetly listen. I have gotten really good at identifying people who do similar things that I do. It’s the way in which you do it. It is essential to make appropriate eye contact and know when to look away. Sometimes, you have to be seen, but not heard or heard and not seen. Perhaps, women have it easier because certain labels (pedophile or creep) aren’t attached to them, but there are certainly observant men out there.

It seems that society has ignored the female people watchers and highlighted the male ones because of the number of "creeper" stories there are.
