Could crocodiles survive in the sea?

    Saltwater crocodiles live in the sea.

    Freshwater crocodiles could not survive in the sea.

    I assume you have not heard of the species of crocodile called the Saltwater Crocodile (Crocodylus porosus). It can and does survive in saltwater (the sea) and brackish habitats.

    There are some that live near shore, for sure, and island crocodiles such as the Cuban crocodile got there by crossing bits of ocean.

    Some actually do swim in the sea so yes.

    Australia's northern crocodiles are affectionately known as "salties", There are also some salt water crocodiles living near Cape Canaveral
