Guys with fingertips don't need a mirror -- they can feel where the stubble is. A blind friend manages to shave just fine.

One can shave by feel, but it helps to have a mirror.

yes , it's generally better and / or safer to do it this way: using a mirror

I can shave most of my face and neck w/o a mirror (in the shower) but can't do under my nose or make a good, clean, even edge on sideburns w/o a mirror.

I especially do because I shave the back of my neck, around my nose, eyebrows, and my forehead too. Using a mirror is essential, and prevents nicks, cuts down on razor burn, and provides for a smoother overall shave. And, gosh darn heck, I gotta admire myself performing the ultimate form of male grooming. Although, I once shaved the figs and that required standing over a mirror that I placed on the toilet lid.

You shave your eyebrows and forehead? I've never heard of that. And you needed a mirror to shave your nuts? Really? Hmm

Yes, just like you need mirror to put make up on.

Yeah otherwise you'll miss a spot and have a patch of random beard!

To do it safely and quickly, yes.

Perhaps, but it depends on the man.
