Are the size of the bubbles in Swiss cheese directly proportionate to the size of the cheese itself?

No. Some Swiss cheese doesn't have bubbles at all.
The bubbles are formed when the bacteria eats the lactic acid. It creates carbon dioxide which makes air pockets (bubbles).

No. And some Swiss cheese doesn't have any. You DO know that there is more than one kind of Swiss cheese, don't you? Though I'm aware that Americans have no idea.
