The double-slit experiment where observation collapses the wave into a particle?

WTF? Your theory as to why?

You are the one making this statement. I don't subscribe to this concept.

But remember everything is merely a model. Something which is useful if it predicts reality and helps us to interpret it.

If the idea of wavefunctions collapsing can help YOU to understand the double slit interference then go for it.

No one knows why. Nobody knows how to actually define an observation.

I like the many worlds interpretation, in which there is no collapse. Every possibility actually happens.
