Endurance strength vs explosive strength?

I’m a 15 yr old football player. I have a max bench of 230lb. We had a combine for football, for high school the weight used for bench at a combine is 185lb. I got 14 reps while the guys who can bench 280+ (aka more than me) are only getting around 10 reps. Can someone explain why/the science behind it? Thank you
