WE DID SOME work for a person who never came back to get their car. can I get a lean so I can sell the car?

      I'd suggest the same, it's LIEN, not "lein".

    we do it a lot. you have to fill out forms to get it and also have proof that you tried to get a hold of the owner. like registered letters that were returned to you plus how long the car has been with you. my state anything more that 30 days qualifies

    You mean a "lien." Apply to your state's Department of Motor Vehicles for an abandoned vehicle title.

  • It varies by local ordinance. Quite a bit and the laws were likely written ages ago.

    You'd be better off listing where you're from, whether you're licensed, and what lengths you have you made to contact the person.

    It's a lien. And yes you can. Laws vary by state. Call your local DMV, or find it online.
