If a person becomes more prevalent in your life what does that mean?

    It means that person assumes a greater role in your life.

    It would mean that they were taking up more of your time and that they were becoming more important to you.

    Generally, "prevalent" means "important" or "meaningful" or "most common." However, I don't think it's generally used in regard to people. One might say "the prevalent mode of transportation is the automobile," or "the prevalent weather condition in Florida is warm and sunny." But not usually about a person.
