In Cooking, What can you substitute Cognac with?
One recipe (A fruit cake) had 3.5oz Cognac to get a more "spicier" holiday flavor. It's a bit too expensive for me to use it to experiment recipes so what can you substitute it with?
Dried Figs, Raisin and Nuts was within the recipe. It did taste good without it, but found it a bit plain and nutty.
It's my parent's Cognac (I'm not a teen but still live at home) and I don't really drink alcohol except for cocktails.
