In a restaurant, if the food wasn't up to scratch I would say something-return the dish, ask for it to be done to my taste, money of the bill, etc.I expect the meal I am paying for to be good.
When with friends and family, the food is of little importance to me. I am there to enjoy their company. If the food is not perfect, I don't care.
If you are so focused on what is on your plate, does this mean that you find it difficult to connect with the people around the table?
