If millennials and gen z folks are so ecologically conscious, why do they order paper towels etc. from Amazon? Isn't that a waste of fuel?

    Is it?

If you buy in bulk, with a single delivery directly to your house, compared to say fifteen trips to a store near your house, you've saved the cost of your multiple trips. You've also in theory eventually saved the costs of building that brick and mortar store. Depot to you seems as efficient if not more so than depot to retailer to you.

It isn't as if each delivery truck is a Domino's pizza driver with a single roll of TP in their car. They're basically loading up and using the most economical route to bring those goods to people.

Surely that is a savings over hundreds of cars picking up their goods at local stores, which routinely are supplied in the same fashion.

Amazon is only wasteful if your goods are delivered in multiple shipments, such as with prime.

Maybe, but I think a bigger threat to global warming is the hot air that emanates from your pie hole every time you ask a question like this

No, especially since you haven't invented a way to make paper towel hop off the shelf and walk to your door.

Not necessarily. Paper towels are renewable and compostable. Although cloth towels can be used over and over, you have to wash them and they eventually wear out and have to be replaced.

Why would they buy toilet paper from Amazon?

Why would they purchase premade meals in single use containers?

If they are so ecologically conscious, why would they consider massive solar and wind farms that destroy the ecosystem?

    SAVE THE MOJAVE!
