PowerPoint suddenly underlines "color" and "odor" even though proofing language is set to US English and always has been?

Suddenly, PowerPoint seems to think it is spell checking in British English? I am in the US and have never seen this problem before. It is suggesting the British spelling of these words and acts like mine don't even exist. I triple-checked my language settings and it is definitely still set to US English. Update: Oh, and in case it matters, Word and Excel are NOT doing this at all.
