Can native americans sing other genres in their native tongue?

In English, French, Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin Korean, ect We can find music of all genres these languages. From reggae style, to rap, folk, boybands, girlbands and pop. But I don't think I've ever heard a Native American language really stray too far from traditional style. We can find music of all genres these languages. From reggae style, to rap, folk, boybands, girlbands and pop.

But I don't think I've ever heard a Native American language really stray too far from traditional style. Even the modern one's pretty much incorporate chants, sometimes cultural regala and stuff. Pretty much the only Native American Language songs I've heard that are not traditional is a christian one...Amazing grace.

So basically I'm wondering, can it be done for Native American Languages? If so, why hasn't it been done yet? Would it be highly criticised in their communities?
