FNQ (Far North Queensland, Australia) in the tropics, especially during the "Wet" Season. It can rain for weeks, non stop, day and night, more of a jolly thunderous soaking than a light pitter patter that you are probably used to. Although developers like cutting down as much of the rainforests as is possible, so it is a dwindling commodity. Then of course people wonder about the air quality and the loss of rainfall, and droughts. Still you are in for a few more soakings before mankind deliberately destroys what they went there for in the first place. I have photos from the 80s and the destruction is very saddening. Liking rainfall hey, me too, but be careful what you wish for, as sometimes it can be a bit too Wet and you become stranded. All well worth it though for the tropical storms. They are something to experience!
