if you have the time and money to fight. yes go to court, but if he installs the other service, he can't require you to pay it.
tell him go ahead and install it, you won't pay. let him take you to court .he can't add charges to your lease until it expires.
legal aid is only for the very poor. The income cut off in my area is about $15,000/year.
if the new company is going to bill you separate that is an additional issue. contact your current provider IMMEDIATELY and tell them what is going on.
The new company can't steal the old companies equipment. the same holes should be used. see if there is a way you can just put the current equipment back in place and just not sign up with the new company, if the new company would bill you separate, then decline their service
if the new company will bill you directly, it would be worth it to go to court with the claim that the landlord essentially denied you tv/internet service by disconnecting your current providing and forcing you to incur additional expenses for the new one, and pay for both services.
