Solomon got many wives apart from Israel, also he had 700 wives, princesses, and 300 concubines... against the law regulating the life and reign of a king, it was distinctly laid down that he must not multiply wives it will be called conservatives by the GOP nowadays... following the law is hard.

He was a king and had to be a politician as well as a judge in Israel so he had to be liberal to society amd had to be strict in Justice and then be conservative with his budget

  • You know the Bible and the whole scheme of Christianity supports a monarchist rule. Even more outstanding is that it completely contradicts the American majority's political view, democracy. You have to wonder why the founding fathers sided with Plato's system over the Christian polis.

    "KING OF KINGS" - Christ.

Obviously he believed in and supported a monarchy.

In that very important sense he was a "conservative"

However: diplomatically and religiously he was a "liberal".

All kings are conservative since in terms of political science "conservative" refers to the distribution of sovereign power and conserving sovereign power down to a single individual, like a king or a dictator, is as "conservative" as is possible.

In the United States, Republicans are "conservative" because it is the Party of Lincoln and Lincoln conserved sovereign power to the Republic rather than liberally disseminate it to the States, which would've allowed those that wanted to secede to secede.

But American conservatives want to get rid of the federal government entirely.
