The reason is that the Earth is not moving around the Sun. IN reality the earth forms a Cycloidal path in space as it moves relative to the Center of mass of our Galaxy.

Because we are moving right along with Earth at the same speed and in the same direction.

We experience NO "Bumps" "Stops" or quick changes in acceleration----That is the only stuff that gives us "Feelings of movement" in a car or vehicle.----The EARTH moves smooth and steady floating on nothing--the perfect "bearing". So you wont feel "movement" you are used to no matter how much we are moving anyway. We can see the sun and stars move, so we know WE are moving.---We assume the simplest pattern of movement that explains the sun, star and planet movements is the real way we are moving on Earth.

Because we're attached to it by gravity and we're moving with it. So you can't possibly feel anything. Same as if you were in a car, the road wasn't bumpy so it was a totally smooth ride, and there were no windows so you couldn't see if it's moving. THEN you would have no way of knowing if the car is moving or not.

You'd be able to feel acceleration or deceleration, but if the car is moving at a steady speed, you have no way of knowing what speed that is. And the Earth is moving at a steady speed around the Sun.

Because we are on it for the ride

Earth's Gravity holds us on the Planet

Earth is basically in freefall as it orbits the Sun, with its forward Velocity moving it just enough sideways, to keep an Orbit

Say you were in a car travelling at 60 mph, you do not feel any force because you are also travelling along at 60 mph

If you toss a Tennis Ball up straight, it will come down again straight

The only feeling of force being when speeding up or slowing down

Earth's Velocity basically doesn't change much

    We are part of it

I do feel. I experience day and night and seasons.

It is all about relative motion, everything moving together with no reference to stationary.

The answer is very simple. Everything on Earth is rotating and at the same time orbiting the sun. This includes the soil and what's on it....even the atmosphere. This is why if you take off vertically in a helicopter and stay put in mid-air, you will not see the ground beneath you turning. The helicopter is turning along with the atmosphere which in turn is moving with the movement of the planet.

If you held the copter in place with gyroscopes the Earth would move under it.

When you're in an airplane, can you feel how fast you're moving?
