Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
It is forbidden in Islam for people to draw/create statues/etc of things that contain souls such as animals and humans.
The Islamic scholars state that you can draw these creatures (i.e. humans) if they are drawn in a way that doesn't represent them being alive, such as detaching the neck from the head, or not drawing the face for example, or perhaps detaching the face as you mentioned it (i.e. drawing it away from the body and not on it if that is what you mean), so in this case it is halal.
I should let you know that this website is not the best place to get answers regarding Islam, as we do not take advice regarding Islam from disbelievers, and this website mixes both disbelievers and a few believers. The best place to get answers is from Islamic scholars, perhaps at your masjid, or googling islamic scholarly fatwa sites like islamqa, islamweb, askimam, etc and ask your questions there as these sites have their own Islamic scholarly committees.
