Does anyone know a good way to get old books appraised? Have some original editions of the Tarzan series? They are pretty rough shape?

Rough shape does not fly in the collectibles world. I'd suggest not looking into the value - you'll only see pricing on books in good to excellent condition and it might bum you out ;)

There are antique book dealers who can appraise them.

One of the suggestions I give is to go on Ebay and see what others are selling for. Being in rough shape isn't unusual for Tarzan books, however, not all of the first editions are valuable. It would depend when they were written.

See what they are selling for on sites line Amazon and eBay. Remember to adjust for the condition, which is a major factor.

Take them to a store like Barnes and Noble.
