French traded heavily with the Native Americans for the fur trade. Many european goods were traded for the fur, such as luxury and military technology and equipment. Which gave some tribes advantage over their rivals. This friendship was later strengthen due the French and Indian wars. However not all indian tribes joined the French, as many tribes join the English as a way to attack and destory rival tribes on the French side.

Better look at your history again. By the the the British and french were settling in the Indians were mostly all dead from diease and war.

So those "numerless" "natives" your accounting no longer existed.

Just like in modern times you ain't dealing with "natives" here no more even if they got the name.

The French were not big on immigration. So only set up small towns & forts for most. They left the natives alone for most. But the French traded for cheap built goods for furs. The British had better goods to trade. But wanted a higher price. Once in a Area expanded into larger citys & took over the land more.

Dunno, because in the Caribbean it tends to be the English speaking countries that are a little better off than the French or Spanish speaking places.

That currently would be a yes. Back than NO. The French had a good chokehold on many areas in the Americas at that time. Haiti was a very profitable island for the French. Louisiana was used to support and feed the French Caribbean

    Easy.

The French gave the NA people a lot of free stuff and help just to oppose the English. Free food, clothes and firearms were hard for the NAs to refuse and they could be used by the NAs to fight the English.

That's a matter of opinion, but Spaniards and French, as Catholic countries, were charged by the Pope to convert the indigenous peoples of the Americas to Christianity, to Catholicism, while the Church of England made no such demand and had no such aspirations. So if indigenous people converted to Christianity as Catholics, the church then frowned on anyone going around killing Christians. By becoming Christian, the indigenous peoples had to be dealt with by the French via diplomacy rather than simply exterminated.
