It's not that gay men are especially sex crazed, It's a case of simple biology. Testosterone is associated with strength, assertiveness, risk tasking, etc.. and because of this, men are typically the chasers in heterosexual relationships while women are the ones being chased.
Put bluntly, it's easier to get into a man's pants than a woman's. So in a community where men are chasing other men, that's inevitably going to lead to higher levels of promiscuity, and the lopsided HIV rates do indeed bear that out.
Ironically, at the other end of the spectrum from social conservatives, gay men debunk the ludicrous SJW claim that gender is a social construct.
