    Not rude, but they might not be able to tell you until after they interview you and find out your qualifications. They should be able to give you a range though

    nope! it's a pretty important question to ask, and can show you're serious about the job. look up what people in the position usually make, and you can even use that as a negotiation tactic.

    You can ask what the pay scale is for that position. Don't use different wording or you'll come across as juvenile. And don't ask it right up front, get through the interview and when they ask if you have questions that's the time to bring it up.

    Depends on how you word it: How much will you pay me --rude. Tell me about the pay scales and the ability to advance (or something similar)--not rude

    No, you should ask what the rate of pay is if they had not mentioned it and when they ask you if you have any questions.

    An interview is a two way street, you are supposed to interview them as well.
