all water whether it's actually sourced from a mineral spring or just cleaned tap water (which most bottled water is), tastes different. Not worse or better, different. Every part of the planet has diff mineral content in the ground where water comes from. Like grapes grown for wine, like single malt, produce out of the ground, will ALL be affected by local geology. If you eat raw oysters you will notice they differ in flavour depending on where they were harvested from, in much the same fashion. I live at the foot of a glacier. I have stood on the glacier and drank the water. I have drank city tap water (except for mineral water I do not BUY water- it's a huge scam and companies like Nestle are turning it into a commodity where millions of people cant even access clean drinking water and have to PAY to consume CLEAN water. Oh 1st world problems you dont even think about when you stop at the convenience store and pick up your Evian or your Nestle or Coca Cola water. (the individual plastic bottle effect on our planet is a whole diff discussion). meanwhile you're concerned about taste dif of your Evian and you make zero connection to the impact you have on third world 2nd world and 1st world poverty and on the environment. I urge you to think about all this next time you reach for your wallet to BUY a bottle of water. Educate yourself, the research and science is out there, open a book, a magazine, an article online. Ignorance is not an excuse.
