# How do I do this on python?

I'm making a python script and just need to know how to fix a problem. I want the decrement to return to 4 after its done all 5. def the_game(): . . . basis = 5 . . . times = basis . . . while True: . . . . . . update_cases () . . . . . . if times == 1: . . . . . . . . . make_an_offer (cases) . . . . . . . . .... show more I'm making a python script and just need to know how to fix a problem. I've been told I need an "if" statement so I can make the decrement return to 4. But I'm not able to work out how to do it as I have no experience. I want it to go 5,4,3,2,1 then return to 4 and do 3,2,1. It's for a deal or no deal game.

The above code was given to me by someone experienced.

Just to clarify, the above code starts it's basis at 5 then decrement by 1. Then when it gets to one just continues making offers every case. What I want is that once it's done: 5,4,3,2,1 instead of it continuing to go 1,1,1,1 etc.. it should return to 4 and do 3,2,1 then return to 3 and do 2,1 etc..
