It was bound to die young so not surprised. The people that owned it bred it. They were trying to breed for dwarfism, didn't know what they were doing so had a litter of kittens with birth defects. Sad they made so much money off their horrible breeding.

  She wasn't overweight. Grumpy died of complications from a urinary tract infection.
