Upbeat, happy music, eh? Cheer you up, party music, perhaps? Let me try.

Start with Happy, and that, of course is Pharrell Williams, as featured in the movie Despicable Me 2.

Louie Louie by the Kingsmen is a great "feel good" song from the '60's.

And another great one from the 60's would be from the Godfather of Soul, James Brown, I Got You (I Feel Good).

What about Red Solo Cup? Would that work for you? That's pretty upbeat, party song.

Another uplifting country song is Summertime by Kenny Chesney

OK, next stop, 1983....Bang On the Drum All Day, Todd Rundgren.

If you want to get your body moving, try Buster Poindexter, Hot Hot Hot...late 80's or thereabouts.

The second song of your dance set can be The Bangles with Walk Like an Egyptian.

And follow that up with Cheeseburger in Paradise...hard to stay bummed out when listening to Jimmy Buffett.

    There's a 10 song "cheer up" playlist.

And if none of that works, then you have to resort to the heavy artillery...the ultimate "feel good" song by Mr. Boots Randolph.
