Whenever you want the TRUTH, follow the money.
First, helmets would NOT save lives. Same as motorcycle helmets do not save lives.
Proof: In the U.S., about 50% of the motorcyclists live in Nanny States that mandate helmets, the other 50% can choose to not wear helmets. IF helmets save lives, those States that do not mandate helmets would have a considerable higher rate of motorcycle deaths / motorcycle accidents. Instead, States with mandatory helmets have a slightly higher rate of deaths/accidents.
They Claim that helmets saved 40% deaths. What they don't tell is that the number of motorcycle riders drops 40% when helmets are mandated. Less riders, less deaths.
So why the helmet laws? CAR insurance companies. In a car-motorcycle collision it is usually car driver's fault. Reduce the number of motorcycles, reduces the number car-motorcycle collision.
IF car helmets were mandated, number of drivers would drop, less people giving money to the car insurance companies. ** THIS ** is why wearing helmets when riding in a car will NOT happen.
