True, people who don't want to manually install drivers will shy away from Linux. Anyone who has actually worked with Ubuntu will understand that Linux is not for everyone and not always the best choice for a normal user. Don't like it, then go have a fresh glass of "Wine"!
Personally there is No Harm in installing Windows 10 onto he system as long as you find a way to do it for free. It isn't worth paying a dime for Windows 10, not for a copy of the OS and not paying to have a technician install it for you, because that money would be better spent on a new PC. A modern Celeron g4900 CPU which has 2 cores is 75% faster than the Pentium e5800 in your system.
Bottom line, it's not worth sinking any money into that PC, unless you can get the parts for $10. If you tried to sell that emachines on the used market, you would be lucky to get $50 for it.
