Bible stories, especially the first ones in Genesis are Allegorical, and not to be taken literally. They satisfy the curiosity of primitive, uneducated people and hide much deeper meanings ant truths for those more advanced and intellectual, along with conveying lessons on the nature of God. They are not meant to be literal Scientific texts.---although many later discovered Science can be seen hidden in the allegories (if you are knowledgeable enough),----DNA (eventually mankind's own) perhaps haven arisen in red clays, rather the Sea, for example.
The story of Noah is a complex allegory relating to either life repopulating itself after some extinction event, or a more recent event. like land bridge giving way and flooding the areas that became either the Black or Mediterranean Seas.
