Israel would collapse and Muslim terrorists, aided by Russia and Iran, would take over the Middle East and disrupt the supply of oil to Europe and Asia causing a worldwide recession that would include the US.

The reins would be off and they'd likely go on the offensive.....making their six-day annihilation of Egyptian, Syrian and Jordanian forces in 1967 look like child's play.

What many of the complainers don't understand is that a good amount of aid we give to Israel is driven totally by economic self-interest. For the last several decades the Western economy depended on a steady stream of Arab-state oil.... today, many of those states have shifted to banking, deepening their hold on the global economy...

Israel has built a sustainable, self-sufficient economy... many there couldn't care less if the global economy collapsed if it meant erasing the constant threat from its Arab neighbors once and for all...

If you thought the financial collapse of the late 2000s was bad and think a few billion dollars spent to prevent something even worse is worth it...then you begin to understand a good chunk of aid to Israel...

America does not give any country money out of the kindness of their hearts although for many years politicians portrayed it as such. They give the money for influence, America's influence on that country and for it to do it's bidding in that part of the world. They are buying loyalty although in many cases the extent of loyalty that the country has to the USA is very suspect at best. Many do the bare minimum just to keep that American money pipeline flowing.

Then hostiles such as the Iranians would ramp up aggression toward Israel likely leading to a war the US would almost certainly be part of .

Israel is an ally whether you like them or not .

Israel would be less likely to cooperate with the USA and they will also not share intelligence with the USA. We will be less safe as a country and we will probably spend a lot more money than we give to Israel on intelligence and on wars we could have avoided.
