Remember when the GOP was the party of Law and Order and fiscal responsibility? Bwahahahahah?

Most of us from yesteryear can remember when the slightly more sane than it is now Republican party CLAIMED they were for law and order. And even though it was the always-fail upside-down-pyramid deregulation-laden economic policies of the GOP which caused the 1929 through to 1938 Great Depression, then the Reagan recession coupled with the savings and loan collapse ("America, What Went Wrong?" by Donald Bartlett and James Steele, 1991), the firing of PATCO repercussions (a war on full-time workers; bottomless-pit corporate greed; loss of our manufacturing jobs base), the GOP propaganda machine (Brock, 2004) has always conned the American people with the oft-repeated claim of being "fiscal conservatives" while wrongly labeling the budget-balancing Democratic party as "tax and spend liberals"---not even once considering that all governments have to "tax" and then "spend" in order to function.

The problem with the Republicans when they finally do claw or cheat their way into power: They spend like drunken sailors, but they DO NOT tax the multi-trillionaire industries and corporations, nor do they tax multi- billionaires like Charles and David Koch and the anti-democracy villainous domestic terrorist billionaires in the Koch Donor Network, hoping these freeloading GOP-catered welfare recipients will pour millions of dollars into their corporate-colluding campaign coffers.

"DARK MONEY: The Hidden History of the Billionaires Behind the Rise of the Radical Right" (2017) by Jane Mayer. So troubling that I sent a copy to Robert Mueller in 2017.

Between 2001 and 2008, the GOP had total control of House, Senate, the White House, and the judiciary, so even though the GOP inherited President Bill Clinton's BALANCED BUDGET and the Clinton/Democrats' 39% tax rate for those billionaires and wealthy corporations which gave the U.S. a huge $362 BILLION SURPLUS, by 2001 and 2003, the unpaid-for GOP tax cuts for the richest 1% had plunged us back into deficit. The lawless Bush/Cheney administration and its coconspirators, the Republicans in control of Congress, swallowed that Democrat-built $362B surplus like a tiny dinner mint in the first year, then went on to amass huge deficit and National Debt with two unpaid-for tax cuts to those "DARK MONEY" domestic terrorist anti-government villains and greedy-gut corporate bosses, with the unpaid-for MANDATES that took our already great nation ever further into debt and deficit, with the two UNPAID FOR WARS, one of them an ILLEGAL war---an attack on a nation that had never once attacked the United States and that had no involvement whatsoever in the Bush/Cheney-allowed-on-purpose 9/11/2001 attacks for which they had EIGHT WARNINGS that were ignored so that oilmen Cheney, the Carlisle Group, and GW Bush (perhaps conned by Cheney) could come up with "the excuse the public would buy" they were seeking (since four days after being sworn in) to invade oil-rich Iraq. The Cheney/Bush White House even pushed their campaign donor Chairman of the mobbed up NY/NJ Port Authority Lewis Eisenberg to award the 99-year lease of the known targets of the pending 9/11 attack (the World Trade Center) to Larry Silverstein of Silverstein Properties and former Israeli commando Frank Lowy of Westfield Properties for THE LOWEST BID and only six months prior to the 9/11 attacks! Silverstein owned Tower 7 near the WTC and ordered it "pulled" (torn down) the day of the attacks, for which he made a $5M profit from insurers, two of which were controlled by the Bush family: paternal uncle Jonathan Bush, the Texas branch; maternal uncle Wirt Walker I, Board chairman; GW's cousin Wirt Walker III, and GW's brother Marvin Bush not only Board members of these WTC insurers---but also in charge of the no-bid contractor hired by the lawless Bush/Cheney administration to provide "security" [SECURATEC, Inc.] to the WTC, to Dulles International Airport from whence two of the 9/11 planes flew; and to United Airlines (two of the attack planes on 9/11 were United). This same motley four family members (Wirt I, Wirt III, brother Marvin, and Jonathan) had control of the notorious (mob-tied, some say) RIGGS BANK, known now to have laundered money for two of the 9/11 hijackers through the wife of a long-time GW friend Prince Bandar (see "Fahrenheit 9/11" documentary by Michael Moore), who also happens to be a trained Saudi pilot and close friend to the Saudi bin Laden family.

Not since a covered-up Alzheimer's afflicted affable puppet-president Ronald Reagan (with the ever-evil BCCI-scandal setting up Dick Cheney operating behind the scenes) has the GOP been "the party of Law and Order" nor have they had even a modicum of fiscal sanity or responsibility.

Nope, I remember when they claimed to be those things. They also claim to be christian and patriots. Which is even more laughable.

You're only a mere $67,679 in debt - per capita. Meanwhile, in Canada, where the CONS go ballistic about the debt (even though they created more than 60% of it in just 45% of the time in office), it's just $13,706. In other words, you're just shy of 5X more indebted than we are.
