Where does the Bible that the only one who can forgive sins is Jehovah?

If Jehovah gave the ability to forgive sins to a perfect man, would that mean that perfect man is also Jehovah

Why did you go anonymous Campus Crusade 4 Christ? Is that how a Christian should speak? Shouldn't you want to explain to those reading why you are right and Jehovah's Witnesses are wrong?

Only Jehovah can forgive sins but He sent Jesus Christ as a ransom for all sins and now cleanses completely without sacrifices or we would believe in Judaism.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and it is as a free gift that they are being declared righteous by his undeserved kindness through the release by the ransom paid by Christ Jesus. (Romans 3:23,24)

“The blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7)

“Repent,a therefore, and turn around so as to get your sins blotted out,c so that seasons of refreshing may come from Jehovah himself (Acts 3:19)

Because of this I always strive to maintain a clear* conscience before God and men. Acts 24:16

So Peter said to her: “Why did you two agree to make a test of the spirit of Jehovah? Look! The feet of those who buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.” 10 Instantly she collapsed at his feet and died. When the young men came in, they found her dead and they carried her out and buried her alongside her husband. 11 So great fear came over the whole congregation and over all those hearing about these things.

"Why does this fellow talk like that? He's blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?" Mark 2:7

At once Jesus knew in His spirit that they were thinking this way within themselves. “Why are you thinking these things in your hearts?” He asked. “Which is easier: to say to a paralyzed man, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, pick up your mat, and walk’? But so that you may know that the Son of Man has been given authority on earth to forgive sins...” He said to the paralytic, “I tell you, get up, pick up your mat, and go home.”

But they are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. God publicly displayed him at his death as the mercy seat accessible through faith. This was to demonstrate his righteousness, because God in his forbearance had passed over the sins previously committed. This was also to demonstrate his righteousness in the present time, so that he would be just and the justifier of the one who lives because of Jesus’ faithfulness.

Once again, Jesus spoke to the people and said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”

So the Pharisees said to him, “You are testifying about yourself; Your testimony is not valid.”

Jesus replied, “Even if I testify about myself, my testimony is valid, because I know where I came from and where I am going. But you do not know where I came from or where I am going. You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one. But even if I do judge, my judgment is true, because I am not alone when I judge; I am with the Father, who sent me. Even in your own Law it is written that the testimony of two men is valid. I am one who testifies about myself, and the father, who sent me, also testifies about me.”

19“Where is Your Father?” they asked him.

“You do not know me or My Father,” Jesus answered. “If you knew me, you would know My Father as well.”

He spoke these words while teaching in the temple courts, near the treasury. Yet no one seized him, because his hour had not yet come.

Again he said to them, “I am going away, and you will look for me, but you will die in your sin. Where I am going, you cannot come.”

So the Jews began to ask, “Will He kill himself, since he says, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come’?”

Then he told them, “You are from below; I am from above (an angel). You are of this world; I am not of this world. That is why I told you that you would die in your sins. For unless you believe that I am he , you will die in your sins.”

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come here from God. I have not come on my own, but He sent me.

Jesus answered, “If I glorify myself, my glory means nothing. The One who glorifies me is My Father, of whom you say ‘He is our God.’ You do not know Him, but I know Him. If I said I did not know Him, I would be a liar like you. But I do know Him, and I keep His word. Your father Abraham was overjoyed to see my day. He saw it and was glad.”

    “Who are You?” they asked.

“Just what I have been telling you from the beginning,” Jesus replied. “I have much to say about you and much to judge. But the One who sent me is truthful, and what I have heard from Him, I tell the world.”

They did not understand that he was telling them about the Father. So Jesus said, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and that I do nothing on my own, but speak exactly what the Father has taught me. He who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone, because I always do what pleases Him.”

Both in Matthew 9:2-8 and Mark 2:1-12 we read of religious people stumbling over just who Jesus is because of His ability to forgive sins. They declared, "Who can forgive sins but God alone?" Thus they believed Jesus to be blaspheming because they saw Him as no more than a man.

Jesus stated that "the Son of Man has authority to forgive sins upon the earth" and proved that by healing the paralytic, to whom He had just said, "Your sins are forgiven."

Of course, Jesus is the unique Son of Man and, simultaneously, the unique Son of God. There are many sons of God, but all those are created by God, whereas the one who was the Word, who became flesh as the man, Jesus, "made everything that was made", logically proving that He could not have been made Himself. This Word of God IS God, and on Earth as Jesus, retained His deity, so He was far more than "just" a perfect man.

More accurately that "perfect man" is ALSO deity, along with the Holy Spirit, making the Holy Three" triune in nature. Compare Matthew 28:19.

The phony word "Jehovah" wasn't in the Bible until Tyndale mistakenly put it there in the 1500s. There is no "Jehovah" in the original Koine Greek Scripture,

In regard to "Jehovah" and "Yahweh", Yoel says the followingt:

"There is no "J" or "W" in the Hebrew alphabet [aleph-bet].

Those names were invented by Christians and hold no genuine claim of authenticity or historicity in Jewish scripture."

Why did you post anonymously, then unmask yourself only after you criticized someone else for answering anonymously? Are you a hypocritical coward? And why is your question grammatically incorrect, once again? Are you stupid or just careless? (I hope you don't mind my borrowing your tactic of asking questions of someone after blocking them.)

It doesn't. Even the Lord's Prayer asks for forgiveness "as we forgive others." We are all supposed to forgive.
