Magnitude of the electric field created by changing magnetic field at radial distance r = 0.20 m from the magnetic field center?

A uniform magnetic field pointing in the positive z direction fills a cylindrical volume of space of radius R whose central axis is the z axis. Outside this region, there is no magnetic field. In (Figure 1) R = 0.27 m and the magnetic field magnitude is decreasing at a rate of 0.30 T/s . What is the magnitude of the electric field created by this changing magnetic field at radial distance r = 0.20 m from the magnetic field center?

    E 2 π r = - dΦ(B)/dt

    E = - [1 / (2 π r)] dΦ(B)/dt

    B = Bo - k t

    dΦ(B)/dt = π r^2 dB/dt = - k π r^2

    E = 1/2 k r

    E = 0.5*0.3*0.2 = 3x10^-2 V/m
