Is there an alternate way to say “hello” in Spanish, like we say hi?

    No, it's just Hola for both words.

    There's also the expression "que hubo" which when translated into english is "What's up" .... however at least in Colombia, "que hubo" is used as synonymous of "hola"

    There's an obvious one which is "hola" there isn't another way to say hello but there is different ways to greet someone by saying " buenas tardes" or "buenos dias".
