Yes, I considered other religions in my 30s and I have studied several plus made visits to some groups. That was after I left the religion my parents brought me up in, discovering it to be a pseudo-Christian cult.
Thereafter, I became a Christian, and I mix with others in a wide range of Christian denominations. My investigations into religions other than Christianity have confirmed for me the value and worth of following Jesus (not a religion) and Christians who know God through knowing Jesus are my brothers and sisters in Christ, irrespective of what Christian denomination (or lack of denomination) they are in.
This conclusively proves that I am not a clone in copying my parent's religious beliefs, for I so disagreed with them, all of my family who were in that group shunned me- on-going till now. That only confirmed that I had done the right thing in leaving them in my early 20s! But please don't make the mistake of thinking in terms of 'being religious' and following a religion. Christianity calls us to follow the resurrected Jesus Christ who will return to Earth one day, to usher in the Day of Judgment. Christians have passed over from judgment to life, the moment they truly trusted in Christ alone to be saved from their sins. I can testify to that, and recommend Christ to you.
