Every day you wake up in Boot Camp, you will have PTSD from the previous day. If you don't; then the DI ain't doin' his job. The cure for this condition will come the day you graduate BT.

There is a 'big' difference between PTSD and PCSD. (Post Combat Stress Disorder).

I suffered a mild case of this when I came back to the 'World" in 75.

I hope, and prey, that you may never have that same experience.

Not necessarily. I have 42 years in the military now, 25 of them full time, and the rest as a reservist. I do not have PTSD at all. I may be a little nuts, but, it isn't PTSD!

You do realize that PTSD isn’t exclusive to the military right? ANYONE can have it because of something that happened to them whether a serious car accident, sexual assault, assault, fire, etc....

If you join the Army there is no guarantee you will deploy at all, you could stay at the one post for your enlistment.

    No.

But if you go into Combat and have mental problems you could.

Just because your in the Army does not mean your going to be in combat. you could spend your first 4 years in the Military and never see combat.
