A few observations about the graph.
1. NOAA would disagree with the ice age after 2000, but even they acknolwedge that "...global warming....has unequivocally ended..." since 2012.
2. Climate variablity is natural. We tend to be products of our time, and fail to see the long term. Again, NOAA says that global warming has "uniquivocally ended," so one might predict more cooling.
3. It was actually hotter in past periods. Again, we can be self-centered. A trend must be viewed in geologic terms to understand this.
Finally, our concern of warming takes place in a high tech era where we demand more. We consequently build houses closer to the seas. We erect higher buildings. We attempt to control nature and others with these higher demands. This is foolhardy. We push the limits by thinking we can beat nature, but we fail.
The worst example is people building in flood prone areas. Private insurers are getting away from insuring these risks. It has been taken over by government, thus, government enables riskier living and people demand more. Again, another fool hardy attempt to defy nature.
