Dead was only in the band for a couple of years, and although Mayhem was notorious for their live performances, few recordings were made. Never mind video recordings, there are practically no audio recordings of any of their stage shows or rehearsals either. A lot of it had to do with what went on at Mayhem shows. They weren't events where you'd want to have expensive electronics on you because there was literally blood and guts being tossed around. Plus, even the remastered live recordings from the Dead era are terrible. "Live in Leipzig" is classic, but the sound quality is atrocious. I think it's one of those things, unless you were lucky enough to be there, you'll never really know what it was like. I think Dead would have wanted it that way.
