Your child is growing up so why not tone down your child's TV watching by doing things together as a family. Encourage physical activity, such as bike riding, playing ball. Plan active family outings, such as visiting the zoo, going swimming, or playing in the park. Assign active chores to your child. Many people get the kids involved in gardening indoors or out, collecting stamps, playing or listening to music, watching videos, cooking, writing letters, reading, sewing, knitting, engaging in sports, and painting, to mention just a few. Some prefer activities that allow them to interact with their children such as jigsaw puzzles or board games. Children grow up fast, so enjoy them.
