Based on my reading list, what genre do I like? What books would you recommend?

I suck at figuring out the genres of books and I have no idea what reading category I fall into!

My favorite books are:

Life of Pi - Yann Martel

Perks of Being a Wallflower - Stephen Chbovsky

God-Shaped Hole - Tiffanie Debartolo

It - Stephen King

Percy Jackson series - Rick Riordan

The Hunger Games series - Suzanne Collins

The Heir Chronicles - Cinda Williams Chima

The Wasp Factory - Iain Banks

Based on these, do you have any idea on what general category I fall into or what genre of books I seem to be drawn to? I have no clue. Also, what books would you recommend that you think I would like? Thanks!

I would say you are most interested in the light YA fantasy genre with excursions into horror and magical realism.

Try the Divergent series by Veronica Roth or the Lunar Chronicles by Meryssa Meyers.

You like a variety. Fantasy, horror. or just plain fiction.

I'd recommend the "Lexicon" by Max Berry. It's fantasy. Really good book.

Eclectic. Don't try to pin yourself down to a genre. It's far better to pick up and read whatever seems to be appealing without trying to catalogue it.

I'd say you like modern lit. I highly recommend Suzanne Clarke's Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell.
