If by 'self-actualizing' you mean more fully fulfilling all of your potential of your true self, definitely.
Just like you'd not want to intend to have a strong right arm and a weak left one (if avoidable), so also you'd not want to have nice looking hair, looking good superficially, but also having more and more calcification of the heart arteries/heart disease. You'd instead want a healthy heart.
But belief in God primarily is possible for many because a person hears the actual words of Jesus, accurately from the accounts, the gospel accounts, instead of only 2nd hand versions and interpretations about them.
If you know 2 or 3 things Jesus said, that's only a beginning of knowing what He said. And often even those are corrected by getting the full wordings!
