Who decided to remove the creation date of 4004 BC from modern bibles?

This date used to be in bibles. I have seen several of them that said the creation date was 4004 BC.

There is no way to know the answer to this. But the reason is pretty obvious. The 4004 BC date had become too ridiculous to have in there. Even so, there are still many Christians who are young earth creationists, which means that they still believe in the 6000 year age of the earth.

If that date was there it was generated by some Bible scholar.

FYI the Jewish year is 5778.

There is no "creation date" in the original manuscripts.
