Is that sqrt(2)*(5x - 1) + 3 = 0?
Or is it sqrt[2(5x - 1)] + 3 = 0?
The first version, which is the meaning of what YOU actually typed, has the solution
x = [1 - 3/sqrt(2)]/5 = around -0.22.
The 2nd version, which may be what you meant, has a solution only if you adopt a convention allowing "sqrt" to be interpreted as taking either + or - values. Often the convention is that sqrt means only the + value. In that case, of course, there is no solution.
